Recruitment

"Dear Potential New Member, I want to congratulate you and welcome you to the beginning of what is the most fulfilling and adventurous lifelong journey yet! I am Amelie Hebert, Pi Beta Phi’s Vice President of Recruitment and I am honored to be able to share this experience with you. In the three short years of being a Pi Phi at LSU, I have grown into a completely different person than I was when I was sitting where you are today. I attribute this growth to the friendships and opportunities that Pi Phi has given me, and truly would not be the person I am today without this experience and those who have helped me along the way. Soon, you too will realize that today someone who may only be a stranger, could end up becoming your sister; a person you share your achievements with, a shoulder to cry on, and your biggest cheerleader. Three years ago in August of 2022, I sat exactly where you are: excited, hopeful, but mostly anxious for what this new chapter would bring. Little did I know that immediately upon walking into 4040 West Lakeshore Drive, my fears and uncertainties would vanish, as I was greeted by so many of my future sisters with smiling faces saying, “Hi! Welcome to Pi Phi!” Something about Pi Phi that stuck out to me immediately was the sincerity of the friendships between each member. During Recruitment, walking into Pi Phi was a breath of fresh air and a place I felt I could truly be myself. To this day, I know that whenever I walk into the doors of Pi Phi, there are so many women there who will uplift me and brighten even my darkest days. This is such a special time in your lives and I am confident that you too will find your home away from home, your lifelong friendships, and a place where you will always feel honored and respected. From all the women of Pi Beta Phi, we are so excited to meet you! We all wish you the best of luck going forward. Pi Phi Love and Mine!"- Amelie Hebert, Vice President of Recruitment
